      ... amp; motor bikes, the preferred form of transport it seems, I guess they help in rush hour. There are also odd looking tuktuks, very different from India.       The funniest part of the day was when I tried to warn them that we would be stared at. Not just me, but them also, for walking with a Bule. I had no idea that in both places, in the middle of a large international city, on a weekend, that I would be the only one.

      ... Changi airport today from Taiwan. I found them near the taxi stands outside and after exchanging my Indonesuan rupiah for Dingapore dollar I was set. We dropped out bags and set off for dinner. Sionghow (How) hasnt got a car, and the majority if the population uses the very efficient and inexpensive subway and bus system.       ... sort of had a swing-and-a-miss at dinner the night before and ended up with the block of chewed tabacco type stuff I had avoided last time I had padang. DD's in SE Asia are quite swanky places since Western prices remain so the customer base of an Indonesian DD is limited to men in business suits or collared shirts playing on their iPhones.
