... and "consume" in the western world ... but it perhaps more importantly it left me with a sense of hope that humanity can find a way for itself that will work ... the people I met last time seemed so much happier without all the trappings of consumer societies in the West ... but at the same time they deserve better than we give them ... my big fear is we turn them into more of us consumers, parasitic creatures with no respect ...
Twomileditch, Galway, Ireland leinstermanDue to a number of reasons, my travel plans have changed.
Now, I will be leaving on November 10th, to arrive in Delhi.
I'll spend 4 weeks in India then fly from Chennai to Singapore on December 8th.
I will travel overland through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore and China, then fly out of Hong Kong to Perth on March 11th.
I will send 7 weeks high-tailing it through Australia before leaving from Brisbane to go to New Zealand on ...
... to the highest edge.
Of course, our group would be determined to cross this edge and we marched our way along the Atlantic in a way that I have never walked the shore before. The boys were more determined to hike further, so us girls stayed behind to capture the moment. Little did we know they had bigger plans to depants and show the world. ... the museum covered all of Irish history, the coolest exhibit by far was titled "Kings and Sacrifice", and was dedicated to the age of early kings around the turn of the century. It was a very tiny pub but luckily Erica and Keavenne had gotten there a bit earlier so I had a stool when I arrived. Julie came in right after that. Galway, Western Ireland, Ireland meece... live music we were greeted by two old men who showed us magic tricks and asked us about America. One of the guys reminded me of my Grandpa because he had this really big nose and funny grin. (love you grandpa :-) )
Then a Scotsmen joined the group and showed us a few card tricks as well. It was fun.
