... did not know where to start so decided to ask for the very first thing they touched but we suggested they walk around and look at everything before deciding what they might like. We picked up a few things and then headed back to catch a bus back to the campsite. ... excellent. We left at about 3pm and took a short walk to Carrette at Place des Vosges for coffee and cake. It is really cold here now but we were still able to sit outside, their heating is that good. We all indulged in coffee or hot chocolate and a delicious cake of some kind, I can't resist mille fueille and Laurie the wonderful "opera" gateau. We slept in this morning, which was a treat. We all had a light breakfast and then showered and donned our finest duds so we could go to our much anticipated lunch rsservation at the 52nd best restaurant in the world, Septime.
