We took Didi's advice and took the washed sheets to the local laverie where the machine swallowed €3 and would not start so we searched the surrounding streets for half an hour for another. ... a beautiful book about different monuments around Paris. We had early dinner in a cafe under the trees in the garden of the Louvre (sandwiches and salad). The kids had an ice cream as we walked back to the Metro to catch the train back to our accommodation. It was a very hot day today, so a quick change saw us relaxing in the pool again followed by a DVD in our room (Peter Pan). Off to bed now to rest up for another exciting day ...

... around 6:30.. American dinner : carry out from subway!! Bands were playing music at nearly every corner on rue Monge..and on the park opposite our building..families, teens, elders out in droves..loud music went on til 2:30 am and then it was left to the drunken hangers-on to walk thru the streets singing, laughing..none of us slept well or long! Found out later it was France's World Music Day! ...
