... short time later we were deposited at the hotel but we decided to go for pizza first, funny thing in Paris, Italian restaurants are every where along with Japanese and Chinese. Most French food, crepes, donuts, Frits seem to be in kiosks. ... got off, cause it looked like half of Paris was getting on our train. Was difficult enough to get off the train. We hit ground level and after a short walk, the windmill of Moulin Rouge appeared. There was a massive line out front, which we had to wait in for about 20mins. Then we were finally inside. Colleen had previously booked the dinner before the show. ... can get to is a height of 276m. After enjoying the views up on level 2 (and trying to convince Granny to shout us lunch at Jules La Vern restaurant at $1000 per head. She said "No!" Can you believe it?) and taking some photos we then rode the lifts up to the top. It was raining and freezing! ... there was extraordinary and it was so wonderful I have Emilie there and have her showing us the sights of Paris. Emilie had been up since 3am for the journey from Metz and it was so good of her to make the trip. The Notre dam was a highlight. So much detail in the building, and the gargoyles were so different looking to the English ones. They seemed more alive, and a little bit more friendly than their British counterparts.
