      Basic hotel, but clean and a comfy bed. Tea making facilities are BAB though, just had a very dubious 'tea' from the vending machine that was comprised of hot lemon and congealed milk. Time for a well earned sleep, thank god we got on the earlier ...

      ... conked out, so it was a bit of a hairy start to the trip! Fortunately, by sheer good luck, we all regrouped about half an hour down the road.
      Apart from torrential rain for about an hour, when the windscreen wipers couldn't cope even on double-time, the trip was fairly uneventful - except for what should have been a straightforward skirting of Rouen.
