      ... tired so I headed back across the bridge to the hostel. I stopped on the way to buy food (nectarines and cheese and bacon crisps), ate and slept. Again, I woke up about half 4, but since I was checking out today, I slowly packed up my things, had a nice long shower (and then had to drip dry because I've forgotten a towel!) and checked out about 9.       After a delightful sleep in we woke to cooking sounds from the kitchen. We enjoyed a delish breaky compliments of Jord and Jenna while Facetiming home. We had been eating yogurt and muesli for the last 20 days so our eggs and bacon tasted divine. Our stomachs digesting we piled into the van like a big happy family and drove to a koala sanctuary. I had been kicking myself for not paying the $20 to hold the koalas at Billabong so I was not about to miss another opportunity. ...

      After my first fairly expensive day in Brisbane, which also happened to be a long day of walking around in fairly (although not unpleasant) warm weather, I took a leisurely morning planning activities in Brisbane for the rest of my stay. I did some research on trip advisor and I started my own walking tour. I first walked across the Story Bridge.       Tony & Jenny took us to the Hamilton reach of the Brisbane River where the Sea Princess was berthed at 1.30pm. Thank Heavens they are old hands at this and know their way around. We dropped off our ports and towed our hand luggage into fill out the health forms. From there we had our forms checked and then onto the huge queue which snaked around to the desks fully manned.
