... Tower (which unfortunately isn't included in our pass, but it also isn't included in the other type of pass), the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Palais du Versailles, Notre Dame, and soaking up the charm that is Paris. Our pass gets us into all of these attractions, plus many, many more, so we will probably end up doing a few more that are on our "would be nice to see if we have time" list. Today we decided to start checking things off. We left the apartment around 9:30 (after making ...

The building our apartment is in in was built in 1760 - that's ten years before Captain Cook visited Australia!!
We went to evening mass at Notre Dame Cathedral (it's a hundred metres from our apartment), it certainly had all ...

Our flat is so well placed that you would think we had planned it! The Hotel De Ville is 200 metres down our street and right behind that is the Notre Dame Cathedral. On that walk, rue de Temple, we pass a movie theatre which has English language movies, a department store called BHV/Marais, which is so like David Jones that I felt immediately at home, 4 restaurants and 2 cafes, a boulangerie, and for the boys, a strip joint featuring shower shows! ...
