    ... it so up we went the 284 steps, bit puffed by the top but so worth it, the view dips 360 degree of Paris, so beautiful. Took about a million photos of course! We decided from there to head back down to the river and do a cruise so we got on the Metro like the experts we now are and got down there easily.     ... then headed for the Arc de Triumphe. It is situated at a roundabout at the top of the Champs de Elysées (makes Britannia roundabout look like a walk in the park). It was built by Napolean for his troops to return through after a successful campaign, and now also contains the tomb of the French unknown warrior.
