... point in the city, is seen as the guardian of the city and is commonly called a bonne mere (the good mother).

Once we got into town, we took the long route around the harbor, grabbed a couple drinks and headed to the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations, referred to as "Mucem".

    ... Amazing.

Once we got back and showered, the four of us (including Charlotte, their daughter) took a little stroll through town. Full of sail boats, great little restaurants flanking the seas edges, people people watching... They live in a fantasy world.. minutes away from Cassis, another fantasy world.

    Come visit France.. its gorgeous.

9am-5pm Spent most of the morning finding how to get away from the ship. And most of the afternoon finding a way to get back to the ship! What I mean to say, is that after we disembarked we went looking for some adventure off the ship. We had not booked a tour, but were confident we could see Toulon on our own. We walk around and around, aimlessly, through a shady part of town trying to find SOMETHING to do in Toulon. After a while, we managed to find ...

... delicious. Taste so different here than at home. Port grimaud - this was a swamp which they transformed into a waterside village. Looks like little Venice. Each house has boat access & a waterfront view. Most beautiful scenery so far- very green so must get a lot of rain here. Hot today, 27 ...
