    ... or not the place we had parked our bikes wouldn't result in them being ticketed or worse still, clamped or towed, we found somewhere to park the bikes for the night which wasn't too expensive and not too far away from the hotel.

    During the evening we found an Indian Restaurant and had a nice inexpensive meal. We also visited a Russian style bar and sampled a few of their beers.

    ... packed with people! Denisse and Caro went, but I stayed behind with Mariela and Fofo (totally spelt that wrong) and his friend. The 4 of us walked around trying to find a bar and we starting asking people where the bar was until we finally found this pub!     ... we find an intact castle so we headed for the hills. Our navigation skills weren’t that good so we managed to do a mountain hike in search of the castle, only to find it was down the hill on the edge of the nearby suburb. We couldn’t go into the castle itself but we explored the grounds which were surrounded by acres of vineyards.

    ... and a bottle of delicious ice cold beer. I convinced Eric we should follow the ridge that forms the backbone of the Black Forest range to get to Baden Baden. Well it was a good idea but the rain and low cloud prevented us from seeing more than a few metres ahead for much of the drive. Apart from rain during the night a couple of times, that was our only experience of bad weather on the road so we can’t complain.
