We are so rural that we have little connections at any time and as we were in the process of selling a house in the States, we needed a bit of Internet time. ... for €6. Bargain. We sat in the town square watching the locals go by doing their daily stuff. Shared the town square with the local vagrant. He was so popular with the local all waving at him and jesting. Bless. I bet he was the Mayor! Who can tell? I liked him. 12.40hrs Finally arrived at La Monte St Michel. Caught the shuttle bus to the island and climb the many steep steps in the fortress to the top. It had a little hamlet inside ...narrow cobbled stone pathways ...
