... so. Over hill and dale, among the pruneau orchards, cornfields, sunflower fields, through medieval towns and across the River Lot, we wended our way today on twisty country roads for about an hour. Stopped in a couple of darn cute villages on the way. Upon arriving in Pujols, we lost no time in finding the courtyard restaurant called Villa Smerelda recommended by another restaurant that we stopped at but was closed. ... we drove into this village the rain was coming down and it was packed - August European summer holidays sucks, if you can imagine Mt Maunganui on New Years x 100 then you have August in Europe!!!! We decide to flag it and go straight to where we are staying, a very average room via AirBNB that is overpriced due to it being a double whammy of a bank holiday weekend in France - Bad planning - nevermind can't always get it right.
