... see the old flat bottomed boats that were used to carry all sorts of freight up and down the river. The small squares with gardens and the old timbered houses were delightful to see. A really nice old town. The outskirts were not so good!!!
After Bergerac we stopped off in a wonderful Beaux small town of France called Limeuil which we just loved. You have to park below the village and walk as there is not much room between houses..
... we drove into this village the rain was coming down and it was packed - August European summer holidays sucks, if you can imagine Mt Maunganui on New Years x 100 then you have August in Europe!!!! We decide to flag it and go straight to where we are staying, a very average room via AirBNB that is overpriced due to it being a double whammy of a bank holiday weekend in France - Bad planning - nevermind can't always get it right.
