Our itinerary has included the Philippines every since our friends Lee and Grace showed us photos of the house they had built on the coast of Mindinao and invited us to stay with them for a while. Prior to that invitation we had planned to simply island hop up the Malaysian archipelago into South East Asia, which if you look …

It's pretty rough, people living in wooden shacks and rubbish everywhere. Zulham says there's around a hundred families in the village. I asked him what they do for employment and he reckons most of them are involved in the palm ...

... really dazzled. After taking some photos I headed back to pack, typical that the sun would come out the day we are due to leave. After we packed our bags we went to pay our bill. Gerson the owner suggested that we could stay for the night and that he can arrange for a bemo to collect us at 4 am and take us straight to the airport. Which we decided was a good idea considering it was a lovely day. So we put our packs back in the room and chilled out for the day. At lunch time ...
