Decided to take a morning excursion to Cassis even though we planned to disembark a day early in Marseille - turned out to be a great decision as we probably would not have bothered to get ourselves there on our own, & it is a beautiful town! Especially loved the little boat trip to three of the closest calanques. Soaked up the sunshine at a waterside cafť then wandered through the narrow back streets & through the bustling local market.

For half an hour or so 4 officers were hapy to sit around doing nothing and when they then had to work 50% went home! 5th queue was in front of the door that would lead us to the plane. But that had not arrived yet and we had to wait. The flight was in eventful, the taxi was there and we had a smooth drive home. Sad the lively holiday is over, glad to be ...

And if its not a dog, its a cat. We went to Orange. It was pretty spectacular, a roman theatre built BC. Its still in use today, look at Davids brilliant photos and you'll see its quite amazing. But I bet the thing I remember about the place is that someone had their cat at work in the gift shop. Yup - you got it, a live (well deeply sleeping) cat. Imagine that in a puritanically and hermetically clean Australian ...
