The State Apartments were pleasant and grand without being ostentatious. There were quite a lot of really beautiful 16th-, 17th-, and 18th-century cabinets with inlays and silver decorations. Our hotel/seaside resort that we are staying at while we are in the French Riviera is a wee way out of town, so the bus had to drive us in this morning. From our drop off point a small group of us walked along the promenade to the cape at the end. We paused at the cape to take in the sweeping view of the beach and waterfront, and to take some photos.
