Cue the alarm at 7am this morning to meet with everyone for our bus to Gruyère. Never in my life have I ever missed my winter coat more. I have been perpetually freezing since being here, and have been sleeping under my sheets in my hostel sheet for added layers. But that's a different story. With the temperature hovering around 0 degrees C, we bundled up and set out for ...

I'm really pleased with my skiing; certainly not great but better than I've ever skied before. My ski lesson in ...

      ... horizontal branches looked amazing.

La Clusaz was absolutely buzzing. The excitement was almost tangible with everyone seemingly out to enjoy the long awaited snow sports weather. But the cold was not something to be taken lightly. Restaurants and shops were stuffy and overheated, but once out in the open we had to be totally rugged up with all exposed skin well covered. Skiing with all this ...

... lot of French information about it.
Acclimatised ourselves, and found a nice place nearby with a good happy hour.
The town itself is only small, and we are able to walk around it in one day easily.
After our first night, we have pretty much seen it all, Chambery was the capital of the old Savoy region, and its history is intertwined with Italy and Switzerland, and has housed ...
