... from tiny to horse size tore around the place, followed by owners who clearly had no control over their dogs. I am not sure what was worse, the barking or the yelling! But the view from the top was worth the mayhem, with mountain peaks in every direction and little houses built in all the valleys and up the sides of the mountains. ... view was spectacular, so worth it in the end. You have to be really careful on some of these roads around the lake, they are barely wide enough for one car.

... vegetables with a light cream sauce over it that was to die for. I sopped up the left over sauce with the bread. Eldon's perch was very good and also on a bed of slivered mixed and steamed vegetables. I ordered fries with my dinner. The meal of so good. It feels really good to be back in France. Eldon got us a 500 ml. bottle of the house red. We are never disappointed with the house wines in France. I also had a lovely glass of white wine before our ...

Sunday 9/14 - After flying all night from the US, followed by a 4 hour high speed TGV from Paris, we arrived in Annecy around 2:30 pm on Sunday for a 3 night stay.

It was a short walk from the train station to our hotel. We settled into our room, unpacked and decided since it was such a beautiful afternoon to take a walk around town.

We finished up the day with ...
