    ... all delicious. There was even a blend of one that is not exported to many places and not to the U.S. Some in the group purchased, but I considered the hassle of packing bottles and decided it wasn't what I wanted to deal with. We were given the option of more shopping, but everyone was ready to head back. It was another hot day and I guess we were all tired from wandering and standing in the heat.     ... just to name a few. Although I would have loved to take a nap after this feast, I had wanted to walk to the top of Mount St. Clair for what was to be a beautiful view of the city. The lady at the Hotel desk said it would take about 30 minutes. Well, perhaps her English is not as good as we thought because it took about an hour and 30 minutes!     ... the cities do not look their best when the shops are closed. Subsequent walks revealed better aspects and a more lively, vibrant atmosphere. Highlights were the 9 consecutive locks on the Canal du Midi which take the many boats up and down a very steep hill section of the canal - an engineering marvel considering that the canal was built in the 1600's.
