    Au revoir France

A travel blog entry by legoodtimesroll on Jul 17, 2015

The wind in the night was shaking our tent and we awoke for the first time to grey skies, it must be time to go home. We left early having to change our departure port to Dunkirk. The roads were quick and easy but as soon as we hit the DFDS terminal there were long queues. We thought we could automatically get on to the next available ...

    The Beach

A travel blog entry by hoppermoore on Jul 16, 2015

Today we drove north toward the coast. We visited a small medieval town called Valerie. Then we went to the beach for a swim. It was really warm, about 90 degrees. The beach was immensely crowded. It was our first time to swim in the English Channel. Unfortunately we did not get any photos of the ...

Another 10 or 12 yachts did exactly the same, so we don't feel at all wimpish now. We didn't fancy 8-10 hours in a washing machine and better safe than sorry. With being rafted up to the motor boat on Friday the rubber trim (coach strip) has been pulled out its track so there's ...

... English (with French subtitles) so that I could understand.

Also, we kind of lost Blackie today (he ran away) but after dinner Frank and I went to the pub to watch the France Ecuador FIFA match and I ended up finding Blackie on the street outside after the game! I also listened to some good jams at the dinner table tonight and realized that 9 times out of 10, when I'm having a rough day listening to good music always cheers me ...
