    500 miles drive back to Calais today......
    Left the site at Issoire at 7 and left the motorway north of Orleans at 10:30. Bit more traffic and the detour around Rouen but we got to the site at Calais after a lunch stop and a coffee break for 4:00. Little tent up in 20 mins, quick beer then off to the new pool for a dip then curry for tea. ...

    3 hrs to Thurrock,way ahead of time so coffee at services. Bad move. As we came out a truck had caught fire before the bridge and led to over an hour delay. We were offered an early train so took it and ended up in Calais at 4:00. 30 mins drive to our fave little site in Licques.     ... quality was fantastic. The locals were out in force and were lined up at some stalls such as butcheries and cheese sellers and some vegetable places. Lidka and I liked the look of a stall selling crepes. The woman spoke very good English which was quite surprising as we have found very few people over here who can speak English.     The true adventure begins! Off to Guildford, pick up jake an off to Dover for the tunnel crossing! Party on!! The WWII war lookalike train to France carts is trough..
