... Valencia area, admiring the terraces of orange trees. Having been caught up in the spirit of the World Cup we had ended up having a later night than we had planned so we were most pleased to finally reach Barcelona six hours later and 50 Euros lighter for the privilege.

We go back to the hotel put the bags on the room and head straight back out to the Barcelona Arena, it looks like a bull ring from the outside but is more of an exhibition centre with a viewing gallery on the roof, so up we go for a rooftop view of the city. Not bad a tower climbed in the first two hours.
We then walk up to the Musee d'Art at the end if a long boulevard climb the many steps and find it's closed ...

... the same hostel chain that we stayed with in Paris. And even though we had three noisy nights and ****** sleeps in our eight bed dorm, we couldn't complain about the price - 12 euros each for central Barcelona!? Phenomenal. And as a bonus, this hostel chain provides "privacy curtains" on every bed so you can hide away while you sleep. The only disadvantage of such a huge hostel chain is it tends to be noisy almost all night, ...
