American Airlines, like most companies, has a use-it or lose-it vacation policy. I realized I still had a ton of Vacation time I needed to use before December ended, so I decided to pick a week to take off. ... ice, the couches were made of ice, even the glasses were made of ice. We stayed there for about an hour because it was fun to take pictures, but after that time we were really cold.

By this time it was around 7pm, so we headed back to the hotel. On the way back I took pictures of the National Art Museum, which looks like a palace. After a quick dinner I headed to bed after more then ten hours of walking around.

Yesterday we went to the Metro Station to purchase a day ticket and didn't have exact change. Machines take credit cards but require "chip" cards which are not yet available in the United States. A young Frenchman offered to buy our tickets with his credit card and make change so we could pay him. Jaques explained why all the shops in the station were closed; it was a national holiday! He was going to the same train we were so he showed us to the Museum of Fine ...
