... We saw Parc Guell. It is built on a hill and were able to
see a pretty nice view of the city…or as nice a view a city can be. This hill
was overlooking the Sea actually, but because it is so warm and humid, it was too
hazy over the Sea and we could not really see it.




We then went to see the Cathedral. It was so amazing to see
how much detail can go into the outside ...

... the Cathedral and the Crypt-like museum underground which was displaying some of the original floors, an alter and tombstones of the priests and dignitaries buried below it. Lunch was at the Hard Rock Cafe, a very well deserved and rather large cob salad for me and a burger for Jus. We made our way home with a small stop in a bead store 3 doors from our hotel, no dinner though, was still too full from lunch. We slept very well. Sunday ...

... those "hop on, hop off" buses that allow you to go around Barcelona and get off at the places you want to explore and then get back on when you are ready. We get off the red line and onto the blue line so that we can go and see the Sagrada Familiar Cathedral (Basilica) designed by Gaudi and world renown. The restaurant owner, of thirty years, welcomed them to his restaurant and when asked if he had any specials for the night he replied that all his dishes were special and that he had only changed four or five dishes in thirty years. Video Girl and Battery Boy settled on the chorizo cooked in apple cider, marinated grilled vegetables, jamon croquettes and home cooked tomato bread with a bottle of 2008 Abada 3.9 Syrah. So sad to say but this is the end of our journey. My brother wanted to get some sun which is how we came up with Barcelona. We really love this city and it has so much to offer.
