... and he showed us where another one was. Then on to another chateau.
The Chenonceau chateau is the most popular chateau in the area. It is built over the river Cher and has some beautiful gardens around it. Very nice. After that we checked in to our hotel. Later a trip downtown for some dinner.
Tomorrow, two more chateaus and then we head farther south.

Gloomy day to start our ride. It took quite a while to get the bikes sorted. 9 in the group - 3 Aussies and 7 English. Tour leader is Sigrid. ... however it is dull, tired and bleak and the grounds seem relatively neglected. We spent only an hour here and it is a reminder to us that we have seen enough chateaux and fortresses for one holiday. We then made our way into Tours for dinner. Tours appealed as it has quite an attractive city eating area. However the modern trams and the GPS made getting into the centre a little ...

... We took a lot of pictures and then we left and went back to Amboise to see another castle (Château d'Amboise). After we were finished with our tours of the castles we went to the wine factory (Plou et Fils). While there we had a tour of the factory which was very cool and we tasted a few of the wines. Then after the wine factory we went to dinner in a cave (La Cave aux ...
