      Had a wonderful afternoon exploring Castillo de Sant Barbara (hugecastle/fort at the top of hill in Alicante) and listening to some of the 3 Reyes (3 Kings/Wisemen) festivities from the top of the castle. Tonight the 3 Kings (Wisemen) arrive! There were huge celebrations here in Spain. We could hear a marching band and see signs of a parade and huge crowds from the top of the castle. Later we saw on TV lots of celebrations all over Spain with kings and beautifully dressed women ...

      ... basic, just tables and chairs, no decoration - maybe an out of date poster or two with local promotions. Having ordered our beers/coffee for me, we were given a huge bowl of monkey nuts, when eating these, everyone just chucks the shells on the floor - by the end of the day you would be walking purely on the shells, no floor showing.
