Slept so well last night! It was finally dark and quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. We booked our tickets to Amsterdam tomorrow online so that was super convenient. We leave on a 3.5 hour bus tomorrow at 10am. We got showered and dressed and left the hotel just in time to make brunch at Kaffe Mühle. It's the giant windmill in the middle of the park. It had a breakfast buffet for €12 and we ate in the outside courtyard. ...
... beers from Germany. People were just drinking beer, eating food and enjoying the good weather. (Btw it was 70ish and sunny the whole day!). After a few beers we go back to the hotel for a quick nap break. After our nap we went back to the river bank and hit up some places for a few drinks. Seeing Bremen once more had reminded me so much of why I loved the city so much. The city itself is beautiful, and is just the right size to explore by foot without getting too bored. It also has a lot of student life, with a mix of foreign students that bring about so much interest and fun.
I miss Erasmus!
... big Derby game was on Werder-HSV but we couldn't get tickets as it was sold out. Excitedly we realised our hotel had sky Bundesliga so we could watch it in our room! Werder one and the whole town partied for days!!
Going to the airport, we watched the town centre fade into the distance as the tram travelled over the bridge. We rubbed the Town Musician Donkey's legs....it is the lucky thing to do to make sure you return to Bremen again.
