Our tour guide provided a ghostly presence sporting a heavy coating of protective white face cream. Our initial assumption was that this was associated with her leading tours in the cave but she quickly eased our minds telling us that she had recently found out she is allergic to sunlight and that we needn't be worried that there was something in the cave creating her skin condition. Still, it was a pretty ghoulish sight.

Cezanne's house which he had custom built on a hill with a 7 metre by 7 metre studio with huuuuuuge windows to allow natural sunlight for his painting. 4 hours was enough before we headed south then back into the mountains behind Montpelier and wound up in the town of Lodeve!
