This hotel is adequate if only you find yourself in the city without a bed. In any other circumstances I would definitely avoid it. It is nowhere near anything (not even the airport really) The free shuttle doesn't come often enough so you end up being squished to death like it is the height of rush hour in a city. The lobby is quite deceiving, as it could be rather pleasant. the decor is modern and tasteful and it has all the amentias you would expect of a decent hotel--a cafe (no choices upon entry), a bar--back flash to the 70's, the rooms were just plain weird. the were built like a dorm or something with corridors coming off the main lobby area via escalators, not elevators. the corridors themselves smelled like strange like a mix of smoke, cleaners and an indoor swimming pool. They were covered in this very strange covering that resembled outdoor carpeting. they were very industrial in appearance and really made the place seem cheap. The floor covering was continued inside the room and minus that the room would have been okay. . it was extremely simple but the bed linens were decent and despite the bed looking cheap, it was perfectly comfortable. the TV was new and the bathroom, with a huge bathtub was fine, except the cord to the shower head had holes in it and water got all over the place. They did furnish soaps with was a nice touch. The other floors of the hotel contained more restaurants. the diner was the only thing open when we ate and as expected it was pretty bad. There are computers available in the lobby but beware they cost .20Eur a minute and dont display that price until after they've taken your money. We ended up spending 10Eur in just a few minutes!!! this place was just down right wierd. everyone there seemed as miserable as we were. i really really would hope you find someplace else!!!

We stayed in the Ibis hotel for a weekend in November 2002. Free shuttle was a great surprise at the airport - journey didn't very long and the driver was helpful. We were able to use the shuttle at any time between the airport and the hotel, and the time table was accurate.

Reception was very busy so check in took a while but staff were helpful and friendly.

Room was quiet, despite having a view of the airport. Room even had a safe that we could use free of charge. Room was always very clean and the maids were very friendly and efficient.

Breakfast was ample - a good selection of cereals, cheeses and meats with fruit juices.

We didn't eat in the hotel for evening meals but the smell in reception at dinner time was lovely.

Overall great value for money and we have booked a return stay for December 05. We specifically wanted to stay in this hotel!

Check in took 30 minutes, horrible. The corridors reminded me of a university residence. The room was ultra stinky, ultra smokey and run down. I don't know what kind of floor coverings they install, it was like an underpad with no carpet. The worst was the diner. I sat for 15 minutes waiting for the rude waiter to serve me. I had to go to the counter and he rudely asked me what I wanted and was very surly. For an airport hotel, efficiency is paramount, and it lacked in the diner, which by the way stunk of old, unchanged oil. Pay more and stay elsewhere, this place is terrible.

This hotel was abysmal! The rooms are small and uncomfortable. The carpeting in the room we had was filthy and in bad need of a carpet cleaning!! The beds were small and uncomfortable. The restaurant service was extremely slow and the food was bad when it finally arrived! The front desk staff was friendly and cordial. International telephone service is ungodly expensive to the point of being outrageous! The Ibis is not conveniently located near anything except Schiphol airport.

I would defintely not recommend this hotel.

We found this to be a clean, friendly and pleasant hotel to stay in for our four night break.

The rooms are rather small but nicely decorated with attractive bathrooms (no bath in ours but a very spacious shower).

The on site Italian restaurant was very nice and good for a 'mid price' dinner (comparable with Pizza Hut prices).

The buffet breakfast was plentiful and nicely presented with a choice of hot and cold food.

All in all good value for money!

Stayed overnight in this facility and I found it very convenient and nice. The staff was very helpful and gave great advice where to go in Amsterdam. It was great with the shuttle bus to and from the airport. The shuttle drivers were very courteous and helpful.

I recently stayed at this hotel when I had a 1-day stopover in Amsterdam. I arrived at 8 am and had no problem checking in early. The hotel has a shuttle bus that runs frequently between the hotel and the airport. The train to the city runs out of the airport, so it is quite handy. The staff at the hotel where very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I think the Ibis Amsterdam Airport was comparable, if not better than, some of the 3-star hotels I subsequently stayed at in Europe. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

My friend and i stayed one night at this hotel as we had an early flight back home the next day. It's conveniently located and there is an airport transfer which makes travelling easier. The rooms are big and clean. The bathroom is spotless. The restuarants served really good food and we enjoyed our meals there. The buffet breakfast had a wide spread and the variety was good! The staff were very friendly and helpful. In my hurry to catch the airport transfer, i forgot to check out and return the card key. I called the hotel to apologize but they did not make a big fuss and told me they will settle it. I did send the card back through the airport transfer bus driver who without fuss agreed to return it for me. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends. Thumbs up!

a very lovely hotel ! the stuff are smiling (: and the hotel is colorful and sunny. a good introduction to the ibis hotels.

I absolutly will not reccomend this hotel it is to big it looks shabby, rooms are very poor and the beds very uncomfertable. Only positive is thet the hotel is near the airport so if you need to wait a couple of hours for your next flight this hotel would do. But thre are more hotels in that area wich are more pleasant to stay in
