Iberville Suites New Orleans

We just arrived back from New Orleans and the Iberville Suites. This was a wonderful hotel, and terrific staff. They were so polite, and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was a nice addition, which had good food. Having use of the Ritz Carlton Spa at such a nominal rate, was a great bonus as well. The rooms were nice, beds comfy and a great location. I would highly recommend this hotel for their staff, rooms, and location and all around value. We plan to go back to New Orleans some day, and would stay here again. The only thing I can think I wish they would change is to deliver those complimentary newspapers to the rooms, even you chain cheaper hotels do this.

The location near the Quarter was excellant The suite was compact but elegantly appointed with handy refrig. and the Bath & Body soaps, etc.

were a nice touch. The brkfst was very enjoyable experience, fresh squeezed juice , muffins, waffles, etc.( a little crowed on convention wkend) but nice during the week. Staff, especially doormen, were very helpful.

The Iberville Suites Hotel is in a great location-close to everything, but not noisy. The breakfast was also very good. The front desk staff were OK, but not very helpful. (The doormen/valets were much more helpful!) The rooms, especially the bathroom, were nice enough and the public areas were very nice! My only hesitation in recommending this hotel is the size of the "suite." We enjoy a suite--one of us is a night owl & one a morning person!--but this one was claustrophobic. The LR was about 8'X 10'--just a loveseat, desk, and table. The BR was just large enough for a queen size bed & an armoire--that's it. It was TINY. So-if that's OK with you, this is a great hotel in service, cleanliness, and location!

We had a great stay at the Iberville Suites. We were traveling with our 4 year old and 18 month old, and the room was perfect for us. The fold out bed worked great, and there was a refrigerator to store water and milk. The location was fabulous - so convenient for French Quarter strolls. Breakfast was a little difficult b/c they have no highchairs, just booster seats, but it was free so I'm not complaining.

The Iberville Suites Hotel is quite possibly the best buy I have ever found. The location was superb; the staff's attitude epitomizes "Southern Hospitality;" and the room was immaculately clean and spacious. I was in New Orleans during Mardi Gras and could not believe the price of the room during the city's busiest season. I cannot emphasize the friendliness of the staff enough. Each time guests pass ANY staff member, he or she is greeted with a genuinely friendly "Hello!" or "How are ya'll today?" This place is DEFINATELY recommended.

I had read several good reviews about this hotel so was excited to stay here. I would say that overall it was a pleasant stay, and a good value. When we first arrived, they gave us a room with people already in it!! But the woman at the front desk was apologetic and we finally entered a decent-sized room, that was clean and comfortable. The front area is quite dark (the bedroom has the one window) and the view was terrible (an old debilitating, crumbled building a few feet away). Bathroom was nice, with great lotion, soap and shampoo. I was disappointed there was no mini bar, oh, and the bathroom was fairly clean but not spotless.

The breakfast is good but the eggs tasted funky, so go for great waffles, croissants, juice and coffee.

Good location right in the entrance of the French Quarter, but not in the loud crazy areas--and overall I'd give it a B+. Very friendly doormen too!

I tried to check in at 8:30 pm on12/28/02, only to be told my room wasn't ready. Desk clerk offered to call me on my cell, but he wrote down the wrong number. Finally got in at 11pm!

Management refused my request for a one night refund.

We spent Dec 30th and again Jan 4 and 5th. There were three of us so suite with very comfortable pull out sofa was great. Rooms and bathroom very clean, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent full breakfast that even had waffle iron and batter to make your own waffle! Very close to Bourbon Street and lots of good restaurants but nice and quiet at night. Would highly recommend this hotel especially for three or four people.

Iberville Suites is located in the french quarter about 2

blocks from Bourbon Street. Perfect location for someone who wants to be in the Quarter but not near the tourist and partying on Bourbon St. The Suites are associated with the Ritz Carlotn so we used their spa and conceirge. A nice perk. We arrived on Friday and the front desk accomondated us for early check in (12pm) and a room with a view. The bedroom was cozy and had plenty of light. The sitting area was dark but that really didn't matter as we were out almost all day. We used the conceirge every night and they recommended some great places to dine. The best deal is the breakfast - full breakfast for free. It was great - and took place in the beautifully decorated lobby. From what I could tell, the other guests were a mix of tourists (families and couples) and business travellers. The lobby had cookies after 12pm.

The rooms were clean, fairly large and well decorated. The staff was extremely friendly (even gave us a late check out). If you are heading to New Orleans and want to stay in the French Quarter with the loudness of tourists and partying, this is a great place to try.
