We awoke in Turkey to find that it was pouring with rain. I suspect that Europe is now getting the tail end of the hurricane that hit the UK a few days ago. However we donned our wet weather gear and set off from the ship in Alanya only to have the sun come out by the time we had reached the town. Our 2 weeks at the Sato Hotel have been wonderful, we met Boran, Zeynep and Batuhan last year when we stayed over for 3 nights and definitely wanted to come again this year. ... eventually we saw a familial face,the hotel owners son. Another ten minutes or so we were allowed to follow the Son,we reached our hotel and luckily for us,we were allowed to park very near to our hotel. We found out later that the whole area had been pedestrianised and only local people were allowed to bring their vehicles into town. Now showered and feeling abit like normal again.
