... the streets of Kotor some more and then heading back to the apartment to do some laundry. Tomorrow we have a good bit of free time to try and pick up some souvenirs (we'd love to find someplace that would ship us a case of wine!) before we head to Tivat Airport for our flight to Pristina. Drezen is going to pick us up at 5pm and bring us over to the airport.

After several days of completely enjoying the Adriatic resorts and ...
Perast, Serbia and Montenegro balkans2009... atmosphere!
Both towns abound in rich cultural and historic sites, full of greenery, nature and surrounded by ocean! What more can you want?:)

To see my photos please click here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG5G cRNn1TU
Cavtat, Croatia ulka... happy. I was so proud of all the clean laundry folded and packed, and just being organized for once. Ok so back to Tim Allen- It was a pretty good movie but that girls got mad that it was too loud and that we were still up. The "compromise" was us sitting really close for the last 20 mins in front of the tv with barely audible audio. Haha, totally worth it! Tim Allen goes from being a schmuck to the cool guy at work... sweet!

Adios amigos and family!
Maciej
Dubrovnik, Croatia much-ehWhen we first started planning this trip I wasn't too keen about going to Croatia. All I could remember about Croatia and Dubrovnik were war stories, and not too long ago either. But, what the heck, we were there so I scheduled an excursion for the day. We needed to take a Tender to the town as we were anchored offshore. As we looked around what do I ...
Dubrovnik, Croatia barbo19... Albania. Albania is just beginning to westernize and politics is the order of the day and like all the Balkans, they are anxiously awaiting for EU acceptance. On the hillsides, beaches, people's gardens and generally most surfaces in Albania one will notice small concrete domes seeming to gaze at you through their rectangular slits. An estimated 700,000 mushroom bunkers were built between 1950-1985 to ...
Dubrovnik, Croatia landlubbers... sits at the base of a fjord! On the bus we ran into an Aussie couple that we had met at our Albanian hostel. We ended up sharing a flat together in Kotor and enjoyed the beautiful view down the fjord into the saphire blue waters and a dinner on the roof of the bath house (which involved fighting off many cats for the place). The Aussie couple only planned to stay one night but we planned to stay a bit more, so after talking to the flat owner we ...
Kotor, Serbia and Montenegro dangabesisaak... very nice, with a beautiful old walled city and a secluded harbour that, under normal circumstances, would be described as "stunning" or "jaw-dropping" or some other hackneyed adjective. However, we are suddenly feeling decidedly un-inspired about travelling. The high prices, unfriendly people, throngs of tourists and perhaps even a bit of weariness are combining, like unripe and over-ripe fruits in a blender, and giving us an unpleasant taste in the mouth. Without ...
Kotor, Serbia and Montenegro jambo... miss having Charley to hang out with as she was always good fun. We left the club about 2am and went back to the hostel. Slept in. Had lunch with the girls in town then I went to lay in the sun for a little while. In the afternoon I caught the ferry to the island of Korcula. The ferry dropped me off on the opposite side of the island as the main town so I had to catch transport. The bus was packed so I paid a little more to share a van with some others. I met a couple Aussie ...
Dubrovnik, Croatia twittg... their ethnic backgrounds... kind of makes you realise why Serbs and Croats go off when they play each other in soccer back in Australia... Scary stuff! Off to Slovenia tomorrow to get up into the Julian Alps and a place called Bled which is on a beautiful lake in the mountains... Teja told us of a beautiful village there that is off the tourist track ... and we have had enough of the sun and sea... Nat is looking decidedly aboriginal!
Dubrovnik, Croatia natandy... the only other place that we visited apart from Budva. This place had a great old town and some ruins above it that we dragged our lazy asses up to. It was from here that we got an awesome view of the fjord. Montenegro is one of our favorite destinations and we would recommend it to everyone, especially those going to Croatia.
