... The islands are getting ready for Carnaval which starts this weekend. We found the main shopping mall areas with many shops and restaurants, and yes, weird people! The streets are narrow and colorful and any open area had sidewalk tables for coffee and sweets. Stages were under construction in any open areas for the bands that would play throughout the weekend.

We usually have a cabin in the Forward part of the ship & often feel the movement of the ship quite a bit, but this trip we are Mid Ship, and so far really calm seas and very little movement has meant a good nights sleep. After the tedious fourteen hour plane ride and numerous airport changes my flight into London could not of been more comforting. It was about 5AM when the lights of London started to appear and as i opened my window to look outside i felt one of the most familiar feelings of all.
