    GPS Cruising

... Up a very steep hill (had three today) and Tomas lied to us, he told us the Czech Republic was flat! Stopped in the village of Stary Jicin Palacov to visit the local Pekarna Anezka bakery which is famous for their home made genuine Walachian "frgal" cakes. These are a flat, pizza size cake with many different toppings, we had a poppy seed & cottage cheese version, it was very good. Off again heading east after "talking" to Kate on Viber on a street whilst ...

... up some 5km south of Teplice in the village of Parsovice!?! This was the third navigational mistake today, probably adding another 15km to our ride! Corrected this mistake quickly and rode into our overnight stay at 4:30pm, some 8 hours after leaving Olomouc; this was supposed to be an easy 50km ride today but we ended with 65km on the clock! Collapsed in our room at Pension Diana for an hour then staggered down to the restaurant which lucky for us is in ...

... Then it was time to travel back to Cieszyn. Ania and Marek packed the car and made one last stop at Marek's parents' place. I have to say, Mrs. and Mr. Gagatek are about the cutest couple their age you'd ever meet. Just look at the picture!

They had not have an easy life, to say the least, but I am convinced that it is Mrs. Gagatek, tougher than nails, who pulled them both through the toughest times. just ...

    "DAY OF BLINDNESS"

... the oven. I kept checking the oven for heat, because I didn't want to burn Klara's building down. Of course, in that case, maybe I shouldn't have tried cooking while blind? Fortunately, the oven was always cold.
The other nobs had grooves on top, so I could feel when they were turned off properly. Nevertheless, it was still difficult to feel without looking if a nob was turned to the 12 o'clock, or 12:45, or ...
