    ... good! The band has gone but now they're playing records out there with a very old DJ! Had dinner here at the hotel, it's our last night in the Czech Republic as tomorrow night we'll be just over the border in Poland. Observation: have not seen any cigarette vending machines in the Czech Republic, they were everywhere in Germany, Austria & Hungary.     ... rode steadily uphill, around 1 km at about 10%, whew! Lana was knackered at the top but I went on, another 500 meters at 12% to the old castle. What a castle! Apparently it was the largest ever castle in Central Europe but was abandoned, blown up and generally fell into disrepair. But the authorities are gradually restoring this huge monument, it truly is a grand, old, medieval style castle complete with dry moats, drawbridges, etc. Had a quick look ...

    ... a maccas breakfast, and on zero sleep, trudged half an hour to our hotel. We arrived a bit after 10am. No rooms available. We sat, we waited. We got in a room around 1 and slept until 3.30pm. We headed into old town for dinner, and enjoyed a delicious Polish feast. The Polish Platter had Schnitzel, sausage, roast potato, black pudding and a spicy sauce.     ... Then it was time to travel back to Cieszyn. Ania and Marek packed the car and made one last stop at Marek's parents' place. I have to say, Mrs. and Mr. Gagatek are about the cutest couple their age you'd ever meet. Just look at the picture!

    ... outside, while blind, was emotionally exhausting.
    Additionally, I realized a blind person must keep his emotional life well-organized, not just his physical life. In the hallway of my building, for a moment I felt sad for myself that I was alone. Immediately, the darkness seemed to close in on me like a claw. And I doubted I could handle another wrong turn.
