Hi everyone today we dr0ve to Ancona to catch the ferry to Croatia. On the way we stopped at a typical Italian beach covered in deck chairs and umbrellas. We chose a place for lunch and set up on the deck chairs for a while on the beach. There are so many chairs that unless you are in the front row you cant actually gaze at the beach you just look at the back of other peoples deck chairs. ... in and showed us around – then sold us a ticket and escorted us to the second floor. We have never seen so many artifacts some dating back 300,000 years ago (mind boggling). The museum is housed in the Ferretti palace – and contains 23 rooms of displays. These artifacts were mostly discovered in caves around rivers throughout Italy – mostly around the Ancona province.

... sort of a question from the expectant way she (and the rest of the group) were looking at me. The jig was up, so I had to say 'sorry, but I really don't speak any Italian', which gave everyone a good laugh. She apologised and went back through the safety briefing in English, which included 'don't hang back to take photos as it is very easy to get lost'. The rest of the tour she explained a few bits and pieces in English to us, which was really nice of her.
... the Hertz about 20 minutes away, and I drove us back to the hotel where we were going to leave the car for the day. Driving on the right hand side of the road was a little nerve-racking and required constant concentration to avoid reverting back to habits that are ingrained after years of driving on the left. We managed to avoid disaster, for now, and got back to the hotel without incident.
