... re used to. No waves and no tidal movement, certainly none that's noticeable. The water is warm and crystal clear. I found myself surrounded by whiting and garfish - a whole new meaning to the well known phrase "swimming with the fishes"!!! The beach was well supported by a very organised crew of about 7-8 souvenir sellers. They seemed to have worked a synchronised rotation of beaded jewellery, sarongs, scarves, dresses, ...

... here, but the ones we visited are lovely, in little coves, looking out to islands just off the coast, and being a Sunday and an absolutely perfect day (28 degrees at 11am) lots of boats on the water. ... ferry was a very comfortable way to spend 6 and half hours travelling down the Mediterranean from mainland Italy to Sardinia. Huge big lounge areas, bars, restaurants, a stage and a grand piano. We're at the end of the tourist season here so the ferry was pretty quiet, plenty of room to spread out and relax. In fact the 6 hours went pretty quickly. Why cant we fly this way?? Arrived in Santa Teresa di Gallura. Greated in half Italian and french by the 70 yearold lady who's father had started the hotel and restaurant in the town.
Went for a walk to the high points, the marina and the chiesa.
