    ... a very small one in her lung, so she's staying the night for observation.     ... situation is where we are parallel to a slip road, and a vehicle is coming alongside with the intention of slipping into the lane behind me. I have seen the 'Oh! ****' moment many times, when the driver realises that there is something behind Monty, and has to brake - hard!
    We still observe the 'boy racer' driver here in France. The type that insists on overtaking in low speed zones or at speed humps, but they aren't common.

    ... its peaceful surroundings, where time has stopped. But the brutality is still clearly visible in the memorial and the signs around the village which identify places where men, women and children were rounded up and killed.
    The campsite here is good. We have had 4 days of sightseeing and rest. Around us are the most fabulous colours in the trees, ferns and heathers. We will definitely return at a warmer time of year. ...

    ... t have seen many Germans, they were out of the way, but that the allies had landed just a few days earlier and would be coming through. No liberation for these poor folks.

    We decided to go into town for breakfast. We bought a croissant to eat, with a chocolat chaud at a local bar called La Joker. Lovely and sunny but there is some cloud around keeping the temperature down. 21c today. We had a walk around the local porcelain shop, looking for a cow milk jug for Maggie.
