had been on a pilgrimage of her own by boat, train, plane, and car. My
companions, humorously said, “That’s not called a pilgrimage; that’s called
traveling.” The joke pleased us, but she was not amused. Twice, my companions

I did not sleep at all last night, which meant that I woke up very sore from the day before. It's amazing how if you sleep well, the previous day’s walking is forgotten. But, if you don’t sleep well, you feel every kilometer. The room was very hot and had no window, just a moon roof which the mosquitos used as an entry. I followed my map very carefully and when I was at the spot that should have been Organac, I was a bit confused. There were no signs indicating that I was indeed in Organac, and it wasn’t so much a town as a horse farm and a broken-down chateau. I saw a couple passing in a car, and I pointed to my map, hoping they would stop. They did, and ...

... at a local café for another cold drink. The café was also the only grocery store in the town and had about four shelves of food. I asked the woman at the bar how late they would be open and she said 4:30pm. I told her that I would return after I found my lodgings. I had arranged to stay at the same lodgings as my companions, and they showed me in the guide book which one it was. Well, they had been mistaken, and when I arrived at the gite, the woman there ...
