... street in Hakata comprised of some 130 shops. We found some interesting shops where we bought some small Hakata type ornaments as well as an art print at at paper shop. We had our lunch at the shopping arcade at LA Hamburger shop. We had burgers, fries, beer, and coffee - an all-American meal. We made a short stop at a nearby shrine called Kushida Shrine. We stopped at a service station with loads of food samples so I gorged myself! I love this about Japan. It started raining and by the time we got to Kurokawa it was pouring. Something naughty happened...we got the bus for free...by accident! We had booked by telephone and it was pretty pricey. When we got off, so did ...

... the sun ( at last!) It was a typical Japanese affair, no shoes inside, your given a bag to carry them in during your visit, it was again very busy but very organised with people guided around pinch points to prevent overcrowding. The actual castle looked great with its white plaster cladding and decoration, all round a wooden frame as most if not all Japanese castles were? It made for a really good visit and the sunshine helped, ...
