Legoland was better for my nine year old kid than it was for me. The lines were long, but some included Lego playing stations to keep the kids occupied. They needed more Lego play stations though. I was impress with the Lego sculptures. I was happy to get a hopper ticket so that we could go to the Aquarium. The Aquarium had a lot of facts about the sea life in the area. It talked more about the sharks mostly.
Good-bye San Diego, see you another time. After breakfast the Dads packed the cars and we drove from Mission Bay to Carlsbad where we were going to explore Legoland and stay at the new hotel there. Auntie Kerry is driving Diego down to meet us because Mason invited him to join us at Legoland. When Diego arrived we went to check in at the hotel....WOWZIE. There were legos everywhere. Callum had arranged some gorgeous flowers and wine for our arrival and the lovely ladies on reception gave us a jar of cookies when they realised we are on honeymoon and waived over $100 worth of parking charges, whoop! ... was far from full capacity today and didn't look like it had topped out for a long time, if ever. There are lots of picnic places at the top of the trail, but to be quite honest the walk does take some effort so I wouldn't want to haul anything more than a bottle of water and a sandwich up there. The hike down is almost as difficult as the hike up, given the terrain. Lots of loose rock, uneven ground and sand to negotiate, making it quite challenging at times. ...

Nothing special about it. Nothing bad, nothing good. Had to go to the front desk to get an ironing board and iron, but they had them.
