Welcome to Dubai in winter! We were warned about the temperature, but this was very pleasant with the temperature in the mid twenties. Our flight with Emirates was very pleasant with good leg room, good service from friendly staff and tasty food. Can certainly recommend them. On arrival we were transported by bus to the terminal, we drove, and drove, it took so long, we thought we will be lucky and be dropped off at our hotel!

... behind to get out of the rain. The upside was that we were so tired by this time that we all slept for a good 5-6 hours - even the monkeys! We arrived in Dubai at about 9, caught the shuttle to our hotel - quick dinner and then couldnt resist the urge to do a quick city tour to look at the amazing buildings - so glad we did!
