This is the first entry to mark the beginning of our 2 week adventure in Yunnan, China! We will all be meeting up tomorrow at the Kunming airport, and then fly together to Shangri-La. Can't wait to start our journey together! :)

There is so much to see and learn about Tianjin. Unfortunately, on this trip I only have a couple of hours here as I need to get to Beijing asap for my Great Wall hiking adventure. Maybe next time, Tianjin.

So we didn't spend much time here. Flew into Beijing then went on a 2 hour or so car ride down to Tianjin. It was very commercialized buildings that were all mainly empty. Like a yet to be popularized empty town - eerie. Mel says there's nothing here but I would love to go check out the old city. We stayed in the newer part near a big (empty) ...

Tianjin had a completely different vibe from Beijing as it felt less touched by Western Culture; wherever we walked Chinese people would be stopping taking our photos.
