Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs
Travel Blogs from Palm Springs
Chriscuff stayed here on May 1, 2013 during their trip titled: May 2013 - Around the world in 30 days.
Made an early start to Palm Springs CA, although it took me AGES to find my car in the 100 degree, underground car park, dragging my bag behind me (now with only one wheel!).
There was the possibility of some storms in the afternoon en route (hence early start). As usual, I avoided the main highways and opted for the back roads. Saw some …
It`s hard to believe but here we are on the last leg of our journey.
We arrived in Los Angeles amidst the worst rain storms they have experienced in years. The weather dominated all the news reports for the first few days of our time there. It was a bit of a shock to our system having to dress for rain and cold after the heat of Tahiti! We …
Was fairly warm today, mostly in low 30s, we thought once we hit California we would start to cool down. Nope, it actually got hotter, high 30s by the time we stopped. Rode through some nice desert areas with lots of cactus. Lots of wind machines through this ...
... home. The Internet over here isn't very reliable so hard to know if it will update or not. Drove through big bear beautiful place. Then lots of driving through the desert. Arrived to the big lights and people everywhere, slap bang in the middle of the ...
How has this hotel rated in the past?
Check in was a breeze. The check in guy was really friendly and helpful. I was a little early, and my room wasn't quite ready, so he took my bags, and I went for a wander. When I returned, he very kindly dropped the resort fee for the full stay!
The suite was very big with a large balcony overlooking the pool and views towards the mountains. The location is as good as it gets in Palm Springs. Walking distance to everywhere. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Only negative I have was that a rouge bug (roach) got in, which I ended with my shoe (sorry, but I'm terrified of bugs) It's body stayed on the bathroom floor for the entire stay. To be fair, it was the only one I saw in 4 days there, and believe me, I look. And the dead bug was right in a corner, so maybe the cleaners missed it. I'm guessing that the previous guests left the balcony door open quite a lot, hence the bug got in. It is the desert after all. Had I seen more than one, this review would be quite different.
All in all, a good experience. Will stay there again on next visit.
