So I hadn't planned on posting two entries at once but life is unpredictable and things got pretty busy in California so here it is - Alabama has just gone up and now it's time for the California blog.
Our flight from Huntsville to John Wayne (Orange County) was much better than NYC to Huntsville. We travelled on a Friday though and the flights were packed, so alas, like the majority of our journey, Indy was on my lap. We had a short stopover in Atlanta, Georgia ...

We first made our way to Frontierland and Adventureland to go on the Indiana Jones ride. There isn't a copy of that in Disney World, so it was completely new to me and the Tilleys agreed it would be worth riding. They were right-- it was incredibly fun as we sat in the jerky faux-jeeps following Indi's adventures. Because we arrived at the park so late, the lines weren't tremendous-- we only waited about 25 minutes for this ...

Update 2:30 pm PDT: Anthony ended up walking away with $125 of Vegas' money. It was a nice taste of the Vegas experience but we will definitely have to come back. We have crossed the border ...
... all fine and we are greeted in Manchester by grey skies, a torrential downpour and a thoroughly miserable taxi driver who neither wants to take us to Hale or help with the luggage (he thinks there is too much).
Getting back to the house is lovely though. Being away is fab but it is wonderful to be home too and we are looking forward to seeing family and friends. We all wish we could do it all over again but by definition the trip of a lifetime is just that, a one off trip.
