Great hotel, nicely positioned for access to City Centre, we stayed here during the Adelaide Finge and got great insights from the Conceirge team. In particular we would like to mention Nicole Driver, she is so well informed and anything she did not know she went away, checked and came back to us. She booked our Barossa Wne Valley Tour as well.

Toms are really well appointed, we had a room overlooking the Adelaide Oval and the River, all the normal amenities plus good bandwidth on the Wifi.

Have to say we never ate in any of the Restaurants as we were out each day eating during the day, so cannot comment on that but if the rest of the service we received has anything to go by then I am sure it must be good.

WOW! What a luxurious hotel! From the building itself, to the lobby, to the rooms to the location. Top notch. We had rooms on the 9th floor. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom had a separate shower and tub and two sinks done in a wonderful gold/orange marble that just glowed. We could walk out to the courtyard at the back and right onto the pedestrian bridge for the River Walk. We were only here one night but wished it were more. They are building a new convention center next door which will make the location even better.

Arrive at the airport at 3.30pm and it was a balmy 25 Deg C however felt cool after the 40 plus degrees at Ayres Rock. Taxi into town and when we got to the hotel nice surprise they upgraded us to a river suite on the 18th floor. Unpacked and then out for some supplies, pop, crisps and tonic for the Gin ;-) plans for  the next three days are …

Today we would be leaving Kangaroo Island and flying back to Adelaide for a one night stay (our next destination was Ayer's Rock, the big red rock out in the middle of the outback). But our flight didn't leave until 2:30 pm, so we still had a bit of time left on the island. And there was still a lot left to do an see. We all agreed that you could …

We were at breakfast at 7:30 and then packed to leave. We headed back to Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary for a daytime koala walk. We saw lots of koalas but they were higher up in the trees than last night. When we left Hanson Bay we headed up the West Road to the KI Wildlife Park. Most of the animals at the park are rescued animals but they are in …

... just the weather (which was rainy and freezing in comparison to the north). Here we enjoyed the finer things in life by sampling fantastic wine, perusing a chocolate factory and having one of the best meals of our lives at an Italian restaurant. To take Hydra home to Melbourne we took the Great Ocean Road, probably one of the most beautiful drives in the world. The road winds the southern coast of Australia next ...

This was a cute little park. One of the best parts was the walk through enclosures, where you would walk around with the Red and Western Grey Kangaroo's, Wallaroos & Wallaby's. Most were sleeping and could not care less about us, but a few were quite interested in what Kerry had in her bag. Thankfully it was cooler this day, if it is to hot ...
