Sunday, August 31
Since it was Sunday we planned to attend church, then see another of Ted's projects and hit the road. We planned it out on the train ride home and had a few choices 9:00am, 10:30am and 1:30pm. Ted had not attached the new hitch riser to Sparky and it turned out to be more involved than he thought. He got straight to work on it in the morning planning to hit the 10:30 church time. ... We ended up in a quaint little town called New Buffalo, Michigan. It had a beautiful beach, a nice little pier and a park for kids to play at. Annalena was also ready for a stop because she had just slept 6 of the 7 hours we were in the car already. :)

... us again when we came through Indiana at the end of the summer.
So today was bittersweet.
My mom and my Uncle Ryan (who flew in from Aiguá, Uruguay to be with the family) drove out from Ft. Wayne, Indiana to see the show. Seeing as how there was no way Ryan would have ever seen our show and John perform in person, it was an unexpected sweet moment in the midst of a heavy month for us.
But first...we arrived ...
I get to see my mom and my uncle tomorrow in Middlebury. A bright spot in the midst of losing my grandma was that my Uncle Ryan (who lives in Aigua, Uruguay with my Aunt Draupadi) flew in for several weeks and will now actually have a chance to see our show. Bittersweet, but it will be really lovely to see him again before heads back home.
