Modernes neues Kettenhotel in der Nähe vom Flughafen Sarasota - Bradenton. Von Fluglärm/Beinträchtigungen nichts zu hören, also gute Wahl.
Große Zimmer mit Sitzgelegenheit, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle. Pool. Kostenlose Parkplätze. Morgens ein für amerikanische Verhältnisse großes und reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Empfehlung!

I'm afraid that nothing bloggable has happened in the last week.

We've been sitting on a very robust mooring buoy in sunny Sarasota Florida. We don't even have to worry about dragging our anchor. And we've been shopping like mad - true to the Jackson family motto "Spend Spend Spend!" It looks like they've been doing a bit of the same in New York - as they should! We've ordered an anchor, and a ...

We arrived in Naples, both shaken and stirred, at about midday on Saturday the 28th. Ken topped up with fuel and water at the City Dock, while I rang Border Security. They said that we had to present ourselves at the Airport in Fort Myers within 24 hours. Back out to sea. You wouldn't think that 22 miles was that far, but motoring into a 25 knot headwind for five hours is not fun. Nevertheless, we were ...

When I'm old and infirm and not able to do this any more, somebody please remind me that I had a fabulous time, the best possible winter in 2015, while I was still able for it!

... closed on Mondays. Today it was open (though also mostly deserted) and we paid our $12 for the 5 of us and got changed. N took quite a bit of convincing / coercing since it was unfortunately cloudy out and not super hot out. But once we threw him in the water with his "floatie" on, he started giggling and having a grand old time. The 80 degree water felt a little chilly at first but it was perfect for swimming laps and goofing ...
