    From Springfield Missouri to Oklahoma City, with a small Excursion into Kansas. Thank you again Mr Ron Smith, A great breakfast and wonderful company. It was a good idea to not push on to Joplin. My first stop Planned for the day is Galena, Just inside Kansas and on the original alignment, A must and some nice roads. Only 13 mile long but I believe a must,

    ... common was a dumbfounded stare accompanied by a “huh!!”. Another common reaction was: “Why’d ya come here?” They weren’t being rude or malicious, just friendly/curious.     ... we drove inland and had our second stopover at Las Vegas. Another stab at the $12 buffet and some baseball watching were fun before bed. On Wednesday, we drove inland on the infamous Route 66 from Las Vegas to Hoover Dam. It is a fairly impressive structure.
