... experiencing a new university will further develop me as a student and as a person. There are many aspects I am excited for as well.  For example, Chester, England is a beautiful city and I cannot wait to explore it.  It is full of museums, theaters, restaurants, nature preserves...the list is endless. Another super exciting aspect of living in England is being able to explore my love for Harry Potter.  I will finally be able ...

      Departure unnecessary excitment

A travel blog entry by robertiz on Dec 02, 2014

I woke up at 6 as usual, still dark but excited to leave I jumped in the shower. Later as I begun to pack i was thinking of coffee, nudged Lauri awake and peaked out the sliding glass door to notice that Lisa was up. Thanksgiving Layover in Dallas

... and the trimmins! Alleluia and God bless Janis for sending such a meal out to us. Soon we were on the last bottle and as Lauri was fading and the dogs had made themselves comfortable on the bed we decided to call it a night as we had to be up at ...

A travel blog entry by robertiz on Nov 27, 2014

... via Dallas, the motivation to arrive at the airport several hours early was driven by more then just acquiring the proper seats. A side benefit was numerous bloody marys at the KCI Brew Pub which we were obliged to drink in honor of our trip and the long wait ahead of us. Warm and cozy we picked a couple of seats in the sun and hunkered ...

... The Super Bowl kicked off before I arrived and the Seahawks are up 8-0 when I sit down in the bar with a chicken quesadilla and a Bud Light. Soon, the Super Bowl isn't worth watching any more; it's a blowout.

And then, it gets worse and worse for the lame Broncos. The Seahawks own George Toma's beautifully prepared Meadowlands' field. 43 to 8; oh, my.

Tomorrow, I am going to be my own Sea Hawk.
