Saying goodbye + the never ending layover in Miami

... talking very fast. Too fast for my limited Spanish to comprehend. So I had no idea I was effectively camping in Miami for the night. Until the American Jehovah's Witness and grumpy British man joined me in my base camp (beside the power outlet nearest the Starbucks). We soon realised we spoke a common language and shared a common inability to understand angry-mob-Spanish. Eventually I nominated myself to ask for more information about the situation (the mob now had their camera phones ...

... part of the country. But before we did me Zev and Kenzie went to the park to hang out a little while longer and hopefully miss traffic. Me and Zev strung up out hammocks and rocked away, while Kenzie was doing her PT in the grass close by. I passed out for awhile. Later, we ran into Jesse and Sara running through the park and they were nice enough to give us a ride back to the hotel after it started raining.

Now we say goodbye, but I know I would see them soon!

Today is December 25, 2013. We are going to see our son and his family in Chesapeake, VA. Last night was our Christmas with our son James and his family. We have arrived at our hotel and are winding down from the night. It was a good day, good weather. I read my book on my new iPad most of the ...

Well, so far, I've had multiple crises in preparing for this trip. I had my flight plans changed last minute, my new debit card was sent to the wrong address, and I had forgotten my passport in Chicago (thanks Nicholas and Veronica for getting it to me quick!). I'm so nervous right now that I don't know if I could get any sleep! Thanks to everyone who has been supportive of me so far, and I can't wait to make you proud.

      To Georgia for Coca-Cola!

... Coca-Cola brands. The flavors from Africa and South America tasted the worst in my opinion and the ones from Asia tasted the best. At this Atlanta facility the Coke recipe is stored inside a huge vault. We also got a glass contour bottle of Coke at the end that was freshly made. I would recommend the tour to someone who is visiting Atlanta.
