... bridge then after paying it was still a slow drive over the bridge. Then we went looking for a parking space at the beach! We gave up on that after the 3rd beach we tried was full & went to the Wildlife Refuge where we just missed a guided tour with a naturalist! Not our day! So we drove around the Refuge & went for a walk to see what we could find!!

Our son, daughter and son-in-law were able to join us in southwestern Florida on the island of Matlacha (pronounced Mat-luhshay) for the week of Christmas. I had packed a swimsuit and had planned on going for a swim after the meeting, but a dust storm had kicked up while I was at the meeting. I watched the dust storm for awhile from the hotel lobby as I had never seen one and then went to my room. I read and then went to bed early as my body clock was still 3 hours ahead of the time in Phoenix.
