Am I sure this is the same day?
God it is horrible to wake up with only a few hours sleep knowing you have a long, long day ahead of you.
Meeting at 9am, meeting with reps first at 8am. All times central. Headed to airport right after meetings so all packed up and checked out of hotel.
Went to see my customer called Cortz. Their main business is called In The …

... picturesque Harvard grounds watching students studying under the bright orange trees! Very surreal! After another hard day we decided to head to Boston IMAX theatre... I've never been to an IMAX so It's pretty exciting! Haha! Frankenweenie! What an AWESOME movie... about a boy and his dog <3 but of course... its a Tim Burton movie!... AND... Because they made us wait 30 minutes extra for the film we were give 2 free tickets.... So Taken 2 straight after! Another good film! ...

After disembarking I had to go back to the hotel and change for my early dinner at Chuck’s Steakhouse in my hotel the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach. They start serving at 4:45pm so it is an ideal place for an early dinner. They also don’t get the crowds that Duke’s and Hula Grill get so you can get in. I got a table on the rail and ordered a Lava Flow. All entrees come with ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Hyatt Harborside at Boston's Logan International Airport
Brilliant for a short stay
It would seem a shame to stay here and not pay the extra for the Harbor view. It's absolutely stunning. From the lobby or Grill you get a good view but from our full 7th floor window it was even better. The location is made more fun when you use the water taxis to get back across to the city. Costs will mount up pretty quickly if you are staying for a long time but we were only there for a day and a half and one night. Hotel service was poor in the bar but the bell boys were good and looked after our luggage all day after we checked out. No problems there. When we were staying the (small) swimming pool was freezing to the point of being useless - hopefully that's fixed now and it's not meant to be unheated. We enjoyed our brief time here very much in the summer, but can see why it may not ideal when the temperature drops, the harbor gets too choppy to enjoy the water taxis and the sun isn't there to show Boston off at its best.
Next time...no thank you...
Noisy rooms: buzzing in the walls, clicking in the walls, noisy doors (heavy doors which slam shut..you can, unfortunately, hear everyone in your hallway when they are coming out to see why the fire alarm announcement is going off at 2:30a.m...only good thing is that it is loud and you will not sleep throught it... friendly staff but robot bartender in lounge who forgot to mention the house wine will run you ($)ten dollars a glass...I am not a disgruntled past employee, just a very disappointed customer ....oh and the room with a nice city view you reserved cannot be guaranteed if it is booked through a travel website other than the Hyatt website, add that to the list....good luck and shop around...
Convenient location - nice stay
Very convenient stay for early morning flight out of Logan. Clean, nice and attentive staff and the best clam chowder in Boston!
Just Wow!
We had a fabulous experience at the Hyatt Harborside. The hotel was very busy, but we did not feel pushed aside or neglected by any of the employees.
The restaruant offered a beautiful view of downtown and we got to watch the sunset over Boston. Our room was well decorated and offered a great view of the planes taking off. I was expecting a lot of noise with this being an airport hotel, but was pleasantly surprised that I didn't hear a single jet.
I will definitely be back the next time I have to come to Boston!
Not a 4 Star
We were put on the floor with the meeting rooms with no view of the city. It was a very busy and noisy area. Housekeeping was very bad - they even broke a glass in our bathroom and left shards of glass all over our toothbrushes, etc. Two days later we were still stepping on glass.
Service at the Harborside Grill was very bad. Food was good.
Overall service was poor, front desk personnel seemed uninterested in what was going on - almost like they had better things to do than listen to us.
Location was great. We used the transportation to the subway during our entire stay. Great view of the city from the lobby. We were lucky enough (coming from Florida) to have 18 inches of snow during our stay over St. Patrick's Day.
Seems to be more geared toward business travel than family travel.
Not a 4 star
It was the first trip to Boston for both of us so I wanted to make it special by picking a nice four star hotel. Having travelled a lot I know how important a good hotel can be and 5 stars are out of my price range. We had long waits for the shuttle twice of 25 & 50 minutes because they were only running one bus. Not fun in 30 degree weather.
The room was average for a 3 star. Not filthy but definitely not above standard. The Water shuttle is a nice way to get into town but otherwise the geographic location has nothing to offer. There's no store of any kind (gift or convenience) in the hotel or surrounding area so don't forget anything. I loved Boston & will definitely visit again. Just not here......
Never again
Being my first trip to Boston, I was thrilled that my husband had picked a hotel right on the Boston Harbor. We had a room facing the city which was the ONLY thing good about this hotel. Upon our arrival, the lobby was dusty and smelled weird - like something had burned in the kitchen. The lounge, directly adjacent to the lobby, also looks out to the harbor but unfortunately the tables and chairs were very uncomfortable...the chairs were way too big for the tables. Our room was okay . . . but only after I used my Lysol wipes on everything. .. . (actually the wipes didn't pick up too much crud, but the bedspread stayed on the chair) Unfortunately, GETTING those wipes was an ordeal in itself, since the hotel has NOTHING in the way of a shop . . only an "area" to sell vending machine drugs and toiletries. . . oh, and a newspaper. We had to drive out and not knowing the area, along with the terrible directions from the front desk, we wound up in a very undesirable neighborhood, making our first night in Boston a nightmare! The restaurant, what we SAW of it, was okay, but most of the entrees were huge and spicy - and after our LONG flight from the west coast, all we wanted was something light . . . and the rest of our stay we were pushed into the lounge for our meals due to a PartyLite convention where the WOMEN took over the restaurant . . this was so annoying because there are meeting rooms in that hotel and they should have been used accordingly . . . NOT EVERYONE IN THE HOTEL WAS A PARTYLITE PERSON. We couldn't even enjoy our breakfast in the dining room . . . and the service in the lounge was appauling. On a positive note, the water taxi was directly below the hotel which enabled us to head over to downtown without much of a problem. Upon seeing the many nice places where we COULD HAVE STAYED, we realized we had made a BIG mistake in our hotel choice. . . From my husband's perspective, the Hyatt Harborside certainly doesn't cater to the individual business traveler.
One of my best hotel experiences!
I loved that hotel for many reasons: it was clean, the rooms were big, they have shuttles to the nearest subway stations to go downtown. Their restaurant is very good too and offers a wonderful view on downtown Boston. We had dinner there and we saw the sunset while eating and then all the lights lighting on the buildings. Their brunch is excellent too.
The only thing is that they didn't have curtains on windows, so that it was not very easy to stay in bed very late!
A disappointment
This hotel was a disappointment for us. When we booked, we were told it may be possible for a harbor view room if the hotel was not full. The hotel was not full and when we requested the harbor view room, the staff person was extremely rude and condescending and wanted to know if we wanted to pay an additional $40 a night for that. The hotel room doors slam shut and will be a problem for anyone who is not a heavy sleeper. The room itself was adequate. The staff at the bellman desk were helpful. The water taxis located next to this hotel were a great value on the weekend and staffed with friendly, informative drivers.
Great Rate-great rooms Nice place!
We got this hotel via priceline as we need 2 rooms near the airport before our early morning flight. What a treat! Lovely hotel, great views and amenities, excellent fitness center and pool, very clean, pleasant staff, and free shuttle to the terminal was fast! We bid on 2 rooms and I called directly to ask for connecting rooms. One room had a King Bed room and they happily brought us another bed (not exactly a roll a way --much nicer) at no cost. They explained that all connecting rooms were 2 queens connected to a King. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here...and what a deal via priceline!
