People tend to go to Smuggler’s Cove because of the live alligator pond at the beginning of the course where you can drop a pellet attached to a fishing rod into the water and hope the reptiles don’t take off with your pole. Able to sit oceanside under the trees munching our lunch , while watching the many surfers taking advantage of the waves created by the latest ‘front’ to go up through the Mexican gulf ….not a wet suit in sight - just riding the waves in their shorts and T shirts.
