... with the kebab sticks there and said it was his new fav food in dubai. Once we had stuffed our faces we headed back to the flat to meet up with dad who just got bacl from work. The plan was to go have a look around Ibn Batutta mall to let ivar see that. He was pretty impressed by it and even tried to haggle with shops, think he thinks you can do that anywhere now he has been ...

... pool and then planned to go 'Dune bashing' in the late afternoon. 'Dune Bashing' consists of rinding in a 4x4 up and down the sand dunes in the desert, the ride was very bumpy and some of the sand dunes were quite steep! We were really enjoying ourselves until Ben began to look very queasy and I quickly managed to hand him a plastic bag before he was sick! Thank goodness it was all contained in the bag and not over himself or the nice car...! :P Ben felt much better ...

Room with a view

We returned to our hotel now that the room was ready. The room was well furnished !
There were buttons which controlled all of the lights and the curtains. The view outside was awesome. The only downside was that the shower was cold :(

... the Birch Khalifa observation deck at floor 124 that took less than a min to get up there.

  • Back on Metro and onto Mall of the Emirates. Good feed of Lebanese - Fatoush salad and mixed grill washed down with boring water at 10D for the 1l bottle. The meal came to 80D, great value
  • Limmo car from mall to "Atlantis on the Palm" for 60D. Not much to do there. Snuck ...

    ... s belated.

    There's not much to say about Dubai airport apart from it's very shiny and I thoroughly enjoyed my salted caramel ice cream. They also had a beautiful oasis with running water and palm trees, which was very welcome to my jet lagged eyes.
