... an hour she came to us and again started this conversation if which neither David or I could understand, in the end we did understand ' two of us, one hour and not two!' In other words she normally comes on her own for two hours but as there were two of them, they did just one hour. ... into the lift down to the mall. We had a quick look at the massive wall of fish, because obviously anyone who's anyone has actual sharks in their mall (like I said, everything here is pure excess)... And then we went for a thoroughly un-excessive but still quite tasty sandwich. We planned after that to go the Jumeirah Beach but our feet were hurting and neither of us were really that bothered about it given some of the beaches we're about to see, so ...

... We both ordered the special mixed kebab and it was so nice, I was annoyed when I ended up full as it was so nice. After the flight and stomachs full, the next thing was sleep! Monday So I'd managed one flight and now I had to face waking up to realisation that I had to go up the Burj Khalifa! Breakfast was included in the hotel so Matty made the most of it :), never expected to see mushroom soup, chilli or olives served for breakfast! We decided to get the metro again ...

... trainer spun a piece of meat around while the falcon tracked it in the air. We also got to see the famous Dubai date palm tree which the fruit du jour served with everything here.

Dune busting was a lot like four-wheeling but more slippery. It was great fun and an adrenalin rush. At sunset, we got out to watch the huge orange sun slip behind the eternal sandy landscape. It was amazing. The guides prayed (they have an app for that!) and broke their fast.
