Best hotel at which I've ever stayed!

This amazing hotel is located in the convention center district in downtown Orlando. If you are looking for luxury during your stay in Orlando, look no further. Simply put, this hotel had televisions in the mirrors in the bathrooms. Enough said!

    Great Hotel

    from

Stayed at the Peabody for two days in February. It is a fabulous hotel.

Our room was perfect in every way. The service was first class, as was the food in their restaurants. Go to the old fashioned diner for a regular meal or their wonderful desserts. You will love it.

    Loved the Peabody!

    from

Fantastic hotel in superb location. I had read all the reviews prior to staying at the Peabody, and was absolutely thrilled to find it was worthy of a 5-star rating. Very friendly staff from the moment we arrived (with 2 small children in tow), gorgeous facilities, and very efficient service where you really felt that your every need was being catered to. Very nice choice of restaurants in the hotel, with the Diner being a great place to have a relaxing bite to eat with the kids.

Nice location, with a pleasant 5 minute walk from the hotel to Pointe Orlando for more shops and restaurants. All in all, a great stay, highly recommended.

    Coddled comfort

    from

Directly across the street from the Convention Center - you could get by without a car. Hotel very lovely but very pricey. Room felt very cozy with comfortable furniture that also allowed for working comfortably. Would like to see them offer an all inclusive price instead of paying for each phone call.

    Not for a family vacation

    from

I thought it was overrated. I went on a Disney trip and felt uncomfortable with what looked like a get down to corporate biz type place. I had no desire to overlook the conventions center-again I wanted to get away from business! I don't know why this is a 5 star hotel. The staff was no more friendly than anywhere else but maybe more jumpy--if you like fawning this is the place. The room was adequate.

The pool was big but nothing special. It had none of the magic of the Disney resorts. I just don't get it.

    The Peabody

    from

We were there w/ my husband who was on business. The lobby was filled w/ overly made up ladies w/ big hair and cigarettes. They reeked of smoke and perfume. They practally knocked over my children to see the ducks. The ducks were really stupid, forced to stay in a little fountain all day. No free coffee. We did get a free duck-shaped soap in our room. Whopee! They need to have a smoke free lobby. My kids and husband all hated it! We use it as a threat to make our kids behave. "Clean your room or we will go back to the Peabody"

Stay here for 10 nights over christmas this year and what a disapointment. The reception staff where disintrested and unhelpful. We had 2 deluxe rooms on the 22 floor and I have stayed in better maintained Holiday Inns. the bathroom mirrors where cracked and paint covered. The shower would not tirn off properly and dripped which was never fixed despite reporting it for 3 consective nights. The towels and bath robes where removed every day and frequently not replaced. The Elecronic locks on our doors never worked and we had to get new keys issued every night this process was made to feel like a police interigation by the front desk staff who tried to make us feel we where in the wrong and where trying to illegally acess their hotel. On Check out the final bill was total incorrect they had not charged us for valet parking for 1/2 the nights but had charged for roll a way instead which was $5 more per night. We had been doublwe charged a credit from the gift shop. All in all having stayed at the Hyatt Grand Cypress and Anmail kingdom lodge. I will nnot stay here again. This is surely an example of a hotel living on reputation and expense accounts not on the service it is currently offering

    Awesome

    from

The Peabody was wonderful! It was definately the greatest hotel I have ever stayed at. The Disney hotels don't even come close to the Peabody.

I love the televisions in the bathroom and the duck walk at 9:00 in the morning. I would definately go back because the rates were great.

    Loved it!

    from

I just got back from a week in Orlando, FL (July 3rd - July 10th) where I stayed at The Peabody Hotel. This hotel is one of the best hotels that I have had the opportunity to stay at while in Florida. It's a well-maintained hotel with very nice rooms. I had a deluxe room with a king bed and it was very comfortable (a necessity when walking around the parks all day!). They have the parade of ducks in the morning and a night. It's very entertaining to watch. The interior of the hotel is very tastefull and the people are extremely professional. It's not a true vacationers hotel, it appears to cater more to the business people (since it's located near the Convention Center). Overall, we had a wonderful time.

    Peabody Was Great

    from

I stayed at the Peabody in June 2003 and had a wonderful time. The room was a standard double and was very clean. The pool was great and also the hot tub. The beds were soft and oh so comforatable! Down bedding and pillows. The little duck soaps were so cute! Great gifts for the grandkids. Mini-bar was out of my price range-- $3.00 for a Rice Krispie Bar! The service in the hotel B-Line Diner was somewhat slow.

Burger/fries was $8.95,so I expected a little better service. Breakfast was delicious but as pricey as everything else there, around $10 for the American eggs and ham--but it was served quickly. So--if you have the bucks to spend I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Peabody. I would add that the I-Ride trolley system was not reliable. The 15 minutes advertised wait did not happen. Some folks waited over an hour at the trolley stops. We mostly just walked and took the expensive taxi rather than wait. The delays may have been because of the large crowds of people during the eBay convention weekend.

Disney's Not the Only Game in Town!!

    from

All the glowing Disney reviews compel me to ask whether folks are too overcome by the Disney mystique to be totally objective. I have stayed in a couple Disney properties and yes, they're clean and convenient and are staffed by well-scrubbed, earnest employees. But none compare to the Peabody, the management of which has a long tradition of service and comfort, which plays out superbly in its Orlando property. The rooms are large and bright, the service professional (and not just so I'll spend more money in a theme park) and the other hotel services top-rate. Give the Peabody a try when you want a genuine five-star hotel experience without the mouse ears.

We spent the day at Animal Kingdom, where Jenna works the majority of the time.
No rain today, but we did get a good splash soaking on the Kali River Raft ride.

Jenna provided many fun facts about her kingdom. The Lion King show was again a great show to see and Mt Everest coaster ride was a hit too.

We met several of Jenna's co-workers from various different countries and saw the 'stroller garage'.

We had a late night ...

Geared up for a proper log flume now, and quite warm, we went to Splash Mountain next where we got properly soaked! It’s all Brer Rabbit themed so that led to a discussion about Song of the South still being unreleased on DVD. It may be a tad racist, but I love that film all the same. Rollercoaster time! ... were back at our hotel and we headed to the Orchid Lounge for some Sushi and drinks.

On our second day we headed in early to Diagon alley again to ride Gringotts ride and check out the shops a bit more. We fuelled our day with a giant warm cinnamon bun from Cinnabon. It was delicious. We then headed to the Kings Cross station where you can take the Hogwarts express across to the other park to see Hogsmeade and experience the rides here (you need a park to park pass to do ...

It was cool!  There was a cool show where people dressed up as pirates and did water ski stunts.   There were lots of bargains in the Lego shops, too. The American flag painted on the side is half an acre in size, that's as big as the block my house is on, and it looks small on this building.
