    So for our ride into Roanoke we played rackman. This is a simple game where the last pace line has to catch as many pacelines as possible, while drinking only milk. I was elected as one of the back three so I got to drink two bottles of whole milk on the bike, while cycling as hard as we could.     Today we cycled into Blacksburg via Radford VA. Route 654 , the old Baltimore road was serene and a wonderful early morning view of this part of Virginia. We rode into Newbern and were engaged with the early history of this tiny mountaintop village...the homes dated to the early 19th century.
