    Today we cycled into Blacksburg via Radford VA. Route 654 , the old Baltimore road was serene and a wonderful early morning view of this part of Virginia. We rode into Newbern and were engaged with the early history of this tiny mountaintop village...the homes dated to the early 19th century.     Got back to Roanoke mid-day Saturday. It was fun/encouraging to hear myself accidentally beginning to answer various airport workers in spanish :) All in all, the flights home were as smooth as they could go and I was warmly greeted by my dear friend Loice and a Blues and BBQ festival happening downtown.
