19th April - Waited for the rain to ease before driving the 20 minutes to Franklin, one of Tennessee's prettiest towns. Nic and Keith have a house there! Downtown was picture book material with trendy gift shops and eateries. Walked around a bit and then had lunch at Pucketts. Only a ten minute wait compared to the two hour predicted wait the previous night in the Nashville version! More southern food. ... exciting. With a whole day of events still ahead of us we paid for our meals and Jessica purchased a Tootsie’s t-shirt. Walking out the door we left a few dollars for the country man and thanked the bar shark for his recommendation. We headed east on Broadway to the next intersection, passing a man playing for tips on the street corner. Up another hill we came to the Ryman Auditorium and headed in to the air conditioning to purchase tickets.

Managed to complete a tour of downtown and see Nappy Roots on the River. Cruised about between the recording studios, stadiums and music centers...AND CHURCHES. The ration of Churches to every other standing structure is probably 1:1.
