    ... every street in centre of town for us to follow on our walking tour of city centre. It's a quaint city, lots of greenery and parks – kinda like walking into the past but with modern shops. They’ve preserved the architecture and chosen rather than to “tear down” – renovate which I suppose is common in Europe to keep that old world flavour.

    ... but two, chocolate shops, and bought a few specimens for comparison when I felt better. But I was feeling fine, and when I passed a window selling waffles and a saw a boy eating one, I couldn’t resist. At that point Paula and Bernie came by, and we all went in together. We lassoed a young man going in and out to help Bernie move the scooter inside, because of course there were steps.

    ... scratch than eat anything from a can. Such a delight.

    Jaey and Djuna had planned to take me to Knokke which is referred to as sea side since it is infact sea side. This town was really cute, a bit less character than Brugge, well a lot less because the town is where all the wealthy people in Belgium live. It has all the really expensive stores like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes ...

    ... at the next stop, went back to Gent, and got on the right train, which was 20 minutes late. Once I got into Knokke (finally), called Lynn with a payphone and she came and picked me up, featuring a detour over to the beach, where for the first time, I laid eyes on the Atlantic Ocean. Hooray!

    ... by and grabbed a drink. I started talking to locals and then before I knew it was close to 3 am. I went home crashed... did not sleep much and now I am getting ready to head to Antwerp. I think I made plans with my new friends to go to the zoo in Antwerp on Sunday... They said they loved that zoo and would take the train over... I might have dreamt that though. We'll see :) Off to ...
