... interest to non-Bruges visitors, but the only travel problems we encountered was when we finally arrived back in Birmingham via London – at 5pm. Rush hour. And Rihanna has hit town. And there’s an accident on one of the major arteries in and out of the city centre.

We gratefully sink into a taxi… and we wait, and we wait. The meter is ever-increasing ...

... Another walk through residential streets not generally visited by tourists… I’m sure we always take the most meandering route anywhere we go. Eventually, the square and fountain is in sight… it is fact ‘t Zand and the large building on our left is the Concertgebouw (Concert Hall). There are lots of people enjoying their lunch around the fountain (blighting Mr Fletche’s photos somewhat… every photo has a curly-haired youth ...

... then out to Knokke-Heist which is a beach on the North Sea.
Beautiful beach and ride out there (except when riding into the wind!). Was nice and sunny and the riding along the canals and back roads was incredibly peaceful at times.
About 20km each way and took 2 hours each way at a leisurely pace.

Went back to de Garre with Chris, Enrique, Marta, Meaghan and James for another of their Tripels and tointroduce the others to ...
