... At one point we had to urgently find a toilet and that was .50€ to use so image sure into my money's worth. I wish it were only spend a penny!
********************Now....this next bit is only for those of you that have seen the movie In Brugge. If you have not seen the movie then please don't read this as it won't make sense and it will make me out to be really, really mean and I'm not. Ok.
So......just the minority reading now? Good!
... called Sacre Coeur, which was a long walk away but had very tasty food! And on the way back we stopped in town to find a bar, where a group of us shared hot chocolates instead of beers! We left a little earlier than the rest, and went back to the hostel to have a jam-sesh on our ukuleles.
Today was our 'day off', so many people decided to travel to Brussels or even cycle to Holland, but I stayed with a smaller group of people in Bruges to explore ...

Jaey and Djuna had planned to take me to Knokke which is referred to as sea side since it is infact sea side. This town was really cute, a bit less character than Brugge, well a lot less because the town is where all the wealthy people in Belgium live. It has all the really expensive stores like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes ...
... at the next stop, went back to Gent, and got on the right train, which was 20 minutes late. Once I got into Knokke (finally), called Lynn with a payphone and she came and picked me up, featuring a detour over to the beach, where for the first time, I laid eyes on the Atlantic Ocean. Hooray!
Knokke (as I’ve been told) is a very rich place in Belgium, very nice place. We (me, Joke, Joke’s boyfriend ...
... Beisbroek, a wooded park where there was a planetarium consisting of statues representing the planets and spaced proportionately over several acres from the central depiction of the sun. After admiring the statues, we stopped at the cafe and shared a Belgian waffle with strawberries and cream and a speculoos tart. Yum!
